Jordyn and Connor got married in a midday wedding with their family and friends beside the beautiful Shuswap Lake at The Prestige Harbourfront Resort in Salmon Arm BC. It was a gorgeous sunny June day, perfect for a small outdoor wedding.
They began getting ready in their stunning lake facing rooms with the mountains glowing in the first light of day. A quick walk down the hall and the girls found themselves being pampered while laughing away the morning at Studio 3 Salon right inside the resort.
Afterwards they had a professional makeup artist join them in the privacy of their own cozy room while the boys laughed and caught up about old times in a neighboring suite. Next Jordyn's bridesmaids and her mom helped her into her beautiful fairytale wedding dress while we took fun candid getting ready photos.
As guests arrived at the lakeside gazebo for the ceremony, Jordyn’s dad greeted her at the bottom of the beautiful spiral staircase with floor to ceiling views of the lake and mountains. The first look images between daughter and dad are some of my favorite of the day. We then walked directly out of the french doors of their lakeside suit into their ceremony setting.
They stood on the grassy lawn overlooking the lake while exchanging handwritten vows and releasing butterflies while a childhood friend played guitar. After the ceremony they were greeted by guests blowing bubbles welcoming them to a picnic cocktail hour near the Salmon Arm Warf. They enjoyed lawn games, catered lunch, and family portraits at the Marine Peace Park surrounded by Shuswap Lake.
While guests relaxed in the sunshine we snuck off for a short stroll so Jordyn and Connor could enjoy some quiet time and photograph couples portraits at the nearby nature trail, pond and lake. The couple finished off the evening with a beautiful indoor reception back at the hotels grand ballroom while the sun set behind the mountains.
